Moody Blue: 360 Views of San Francisco and the Bay

March 2, 2018

Tucked away from the city off Mission Street, San Bruno Mountain's  Bog Trail to Saddle Trail is a soulful, 2.8 loop hike. Entering from the Crooker Avenue Gate you'll reach Bog Trail on your right which will wander through oaks and over bridges; protected from the wind it’s a great place to rest at one of the many benches along the trail. After reaching the end of the Bog trail you will see picnic tables and restrooms, turn left here and continue to the top of the hill. The rest of the hike, Saddle Trail is an open mountaintop that gives you a 360degree view of San Francisco, the Bay, and parts of Southern Marin. Be sure to dress for the weather the winds can be hauntingly fierce but worth the view.
